Two kids and an adult were injured when a manhole exploded in Manhattan’s Tribeca neighborhood on Thursday afternoon, according to police and fire officials. The explosion happened just before 4 p.m.
The three victims sustained minor burns, including a 4-year-old boy and 2-year-old girl who were singed in the face and upper chest.
The NYPD and FDNY reported that three manhole covers were blown open this afternoon. The victims have minor injuries.
